This Privacy Policy explains how Food Mile LLC collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use the Food Mile website, applications, and related services.

By using Food Mile, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

• Account information, such as your email address, authentication provider, and profile details when you create an account using email/password or Google sign-in.
• Producer listing information that you submit, such as store name, story, contact phone, location name, street address, city, state or region, postal code, and where-to-buy notes.
• Usage and device information that may be automatically provided by your browser, device, hosting provider, or third-party service providers when you load pages, maps, or linked services.
• Communications you send to us, including support requests or legal inquiries.

We may use information we collect to:

• create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
• provision, display, and update producer listings;
• show producer locations and related map views;
• operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service;
• respond to support requests or legal notices; and
• comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms, and protect users and the service.

Food Mile uses third-party infrastructure and tools to operate the service. Based on the current implementation, this includes Firebase for authentication and Firestore-hosted producer profile storage, and Mapbox for interactive map rendering.

The service may also link you out to third-party destinations such as Google Maps or Apple Maps when you request directions. When you leave Food Mile or interact with a third-party sign-in or map provider, that provider's own terms and privacy practices apply.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.

Information you publish in producer listings may be displayed publicly to help users discover local food sources. This may include your store name, business story, selling location details, availability notes, and other listing content that you choose to submit for publication.

Do not submit personal information you do not want displayed or shared through the service. You are responsible for the content you publish to public listings.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain business records.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You use the service at your own risk and should protect your own credentials and devices.

You may update or correct certain account and listing information through the service. If you need help accessing, correcting, or deleting information associated with your account, contact us using the details below.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. We will consider and respond to requests as required by law.

Food Mile is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact us and we will review the request.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version and update the last updated date above.
